About the Role
Hearts and Minds Daycare LLC. is seeking a dedicated and reliable After-Hours Custodian to maintain the cleanliness and safety of our daycare center. This role is essential in ensuring that our facility is a clean, healthy, and welcoming environment for our children, families, and staff. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities:
•Cleaning and Sanitizing: Perform thorough cleaning and sanitization of classrooms, bathrooms, kitchen areas, and common spaces, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces.
• Trash and Recycling: Empty trash and recycling bins, ensuring proper disposal according to the center’s guidelines.
• Restroom Maintenance: Clean and restock restrooms with necessary supplies, ensuring a hygienic environment.
• Floor Care: Perform regular floor maintenance, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming, and use floor cleaning equipment as needed.
• Window and Surface Cleaning: Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces throughout the center.
• Supply Management: Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies are running low.
• Security: Ensure all doors and windows are securely locked at the end of the shift and report any maintenance or security issues to management.
• Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and store cleaning equipment properly, ensuring they are in good working condition.
Base Salary/Wage: $16 - $17 per hour, based on experience
On-the-job training provided

Requirements
Must be able to work morning or evening shift outside of business operating hours.
Previous custodial or cleaning experience, preferably in a childcare, school, or similar environment.(preferred)
Knowledge of safe handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.
Reliable and punctual with good time management skills.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
